A domain name is the name given to your actual web site address. It is also called your URL. For example, z7 Web, Inc.'s domain name is z7web.com or z7 Web, LLC.'s URL is z7web.com. You have to have a domain name in order to have a web site. Registering a domain name is the first step in the web site design process.
What does is mean when I will get my own email at name@yourname.com? This simply means that you can have any email address as long as it ends with your domain name (except leave off the www). For example, z7 web's domain name is www.z7web.com and we have a particular email address at info@z7web.com. We could also have sales@z7web.com or customerservice@z7web.com. This is a great feature because it allows you to customize your own email addresses. You will not have to worry about someone else already having the email address you want.
How can I register a domain name? If you need a domain name registered, contact us and we can generally get your domain name registered within 24 hours assuming it is available. It is recommended that you send us a second and third choice as well in the event the initial domain name given is not available. How can you find out if a domain name is already registered? If you need to find out if a particular domain name is registered or not, contact us and include the name you would like us to check and we will email you back that day. As stated above, it is recommended that you send us a second and third choice as well in the event the initial domain name given is not available. What is the price of a Domain Name? It is $75 to register each domain name for the first year, and $25 each consecutive year. We do not charge to transfer domain names to our servers. Please view our domain prices page.
What is z7 web's payment process? z7 Web requires the full amount of the domain name fee prior to z7 web registering the name. Once we have received the full amount we will register your name. We do have other situations where we will register your domain name prior to receiving full payment but it is on a case by case basis.
